The first time you use the Join Audio » Join Using Computer Audio feature in the Koncert portal, you will be asked to grant your computer microphone access. In order to participate in real-time audio during your sessions, your browser must have Microphone permissions enabled for Koncert.
Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth setup, and troubleshoot any audio or volume issues that may arise:
- When logging in to the Koncert portal for the first time and clicking the Join Audio » Join Using Computer Audio button, the following window asks for access to your device's microphone.
Allow this time – Allow access to your microphone only for the current session.
Allow every visit – Allow permission to access your microphone at all times. You will not need to grant microphone access each time.
- After allowing, you will now see a Red icon in the Chrome tab and a Mic icon in the address bar after joining with the computer audio. Those icons indicate that your microphone has been enabled for Koncert.
If needed, you can also manually enable the Microphone permissions for Koncert before joining with the computer audio by following the below steps:
- Click on the View Site Information icon in the address bar left to the URL.
- Click on the Site settings option.
- Click the Microphone dropdown (under the Privacy and Security tab) and select the option Allow to enable microphone access.
- After you have enabled your microphone, please go back to the Koncert tab to Reload the site.
- You will now see a Red icon in the Chrome tab and a Mic icon in the address bar after joining with the computer audio. Those icons indicate that your microphone has been enabled for Koncert.
Restricting Chrome from Auto-Adjusting Audio Input Levels
If you experience any issues with audio input levels during dialing, make ensure the flag Allow WebRTC to adjust the input volume is disabled.
- In Chrome, type chrome://flags in the address bar.
- Search for the option: Allow WebRTC to adjust the input volume.
- Set the flag to Disabled if you want WebRTC to restrict Chrome from auto adjusting audio input levels.
- Once you’ve set the flag to disabled, click Relaunch button at the bottom of the page to restart Chrome with the new settings active.
To ensure proper setup, select the same audio device for input and output. For more details, consult the article: Personalizing Your Speaker and Microphone Settings.
