In the Custom Caller ID Settings, Admins and Managers (with admin rights) have the ability to grant permissions to their team members (Sales Reps) to add, purchase, or delete Custom Caller IDs from Twilio.
Below you can find how to grant access to the Sales Reps:
- Click the Settings button.
- In the Permit users to purchase caller id(s) window, select the checkbox under the Action column for the Users you want to grant permission to.
- Click Save. Once saved, an alert message will appear stating Settings Updated.
For User with Granted Permission:
A Add New button will appear in the Custom Caller IDs sub-tab, enabling the selected users to add or purchase Custom Caller IDs from Twilio.
The Delete icon will also be enabled, allowing these users to delete Custom Caller IDs.
Also, users can see the following details:
Total number of Caller IDs available
Number of Caller IDs purchased from Twilio
Remaining free Caller IDs available for purchase from Twilio.
By default, Custom Caller IDs added or purchased by the Admin or Manager will be listed in this tab. Sales Reps can add their phone numbers or purchase Caller IDs from Twilio by clicking the +Add New button. For detailed instructions, refer to the article on Add Custom Caller IDs.
For User with Disabled Permission:
The Add New button will be hidden for these users. The Delete icon will be grayed-out, preventing any deletion of Custom Caller IDs.
This process ensures that Admins and Managers can efficiently control which Sales Reps have access to manage Custom Caller IDs, providing them with the necessary permissions to carry out their tasks effectively.
